Click Retail > Setup > Retail scheduler > Channel integration > Real-time Service profiles.
Use this form to set up profiles for Real-time Service. Real-time Service enables a point of sale (POS) device or an online store to access Application Object Server (AOS) to retrieve or update information in real time.
The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Profile | The name of the Real-time Service profile. |
| Description | The description of the Real-time Service profile. |
| Server | The server name or IP address where Real-time Service is running. |
| Port | The port that the web service for Real-time Service uses for communication. |
| Protocol | The transport protocol that Real-time Service uses to communicate. |
| Web application name | The name of the web application that hosts Real-time Service. |
| Common name | The common name for the certificate that is used to establish an encrypted channel with Real-time Service. This is usually the name of the domain for which the certificate was issued. If you’re using a self-signed certificate, the common name is usually the name of the computer for which the certificate was issued. |
| Passphrase | The passphrase that is used to authenticate the POS connection. |
| Language | The language that is used when error messages are returned to the client. |
| Real-time Service version | Select the version of this instance of Real-time Service. |
| Commerce Data Exchange: Real-time Service staff | Select this check box to enable Retail POS to validate the operator logon through Real-time Service. |
