Commerce Data Exchange: Synch Service profiles (form) [AX 2012]

Click Retail > Setup > Retail scheduler > Channel integration > Async Server (previous version) profile.
Use this form to set up a profile for Synch Service.
Synch Service is a service that periodically shares data among Retail components, such as the head office, stores, and individual point of sale (POS) registers. Instances of Synch Service run at each site.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

| Test connection | Test the connection string for the selected profile. |
| Databases | Select the database profiles that use the selected Synch Service profile. |
| Send configuration | Post upload options and information about the profile for Real-time Service to Synch Service, and restart the service. |

| Service name | Enter the name of the Synch Service service. | ||
| Server name | Enter the name of the server on which you installed the Synch Service instance. | ||
| Port | Enter the port that is used by the selected instance of Synch Service. By default, Synch Service uses port 16750. | ||
| Disable IPSec | Select this check box to disable Internet Protocol security (IPsec) for the port that you are using for the selected profile.

| Prefer IPv6 | Select this check box to use IPv6 for communication if both IPv6 and IPv4 protocols are available on the network. | ||
| Timeout (seconds): | Enter the maximum number of seconds before a communication job ends. If you enter 0 (zero), jobs do not time out. | ||
| Commerce Data Exchange: Real-time Service profile | Select a Real-time Service profile. Synch Service uses this profile to connect to Real-time Service to monitor the status of jobs. If you do not want this instance of Synch Service to monitor status, leave this field blank. | ||
| Commerce Data Exchange: Synch Service upload options | Select the upload configuration for the selected Synch Service profile. |
