What’s New in Microsoft Help Viewer 2.0
You can locate and display Help content more easily and accurately by using Microsoft Help Viewer 2.0.
Integrated Content Management
You can access all the features of Help Library Manager from the Manage Content tab of Microsoft Help Viewer 2.0. For more information, see Install and Manage Local Content.
Update Notifications
Every time you start Microsoft Help Viewer 2.0, it determines whether updates are available for content that's installed on the local computer. If updates are available, you can download and install them by choosing a notification in the lower-right corner of the window.
You don't need to restart the Help Viewer to merge updates with content that's already installed.
Filter Contents
You can specify criteria to filter topic titles that appear on the Contents tab. For more information, see How to: Find Topics in the Table of Contents.
Filter Index Entries
You can specify criteria to filter entries that appear on the Index tab. For more information, see How to: Find Topics in the Index.
Advanced Search
You can specify advanced search operators on the Search tab to find information in all content, including topic titles and code examples. For more information, see Advanced Search Operators in Search Expressions
