Update Site Code for the Foundation API
After you have upgraded your Microsoft Commerce Server schema, you must make changes to your site code if you are migrating from Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 or Commerce Server 2002. If you are migrating from Commerce Server 2007, your site code will still work, but you will not be able to take advantage of the new Commerce Server 2009 R2 functionality.
Note
Migration of ASP-based sites is not supported. If your site is written in ASP, you must convert your site code to the .NET Framework and rewrite it to work with the Commerce Server Foundation API.
The Multi-Channel Commerce Foundation introduces a unified operator-commerce entity calling model for the run-time, offering more flexibility and quicker development across all Commerce Server systems.
