msdyn_PostRuleConfig (post rule configuration) entity messages and methods

An msdyn_PostRuleConfig (Post Rule Configuration) contains activity feed rule configuration for an entity and is used to enable or disable an auto post rule for an entity. The early bound class for this entity is msdyn_PostRuleConfig. To view the entity metadata for your organization, install the Metadata Browser solution described in Browse the metadata for your organization. You can also view the metadata for an uncustomized organization in the Excel file called EntityMetadata.xlsx included in the top-level folder of the SDK download.

The following table describes the messages for this entity, which you use with the IOrganizationService.Execute method.

 

Message Description

DeleteRequest

Deletes an msdyn_PostRuleConfig record. You can also call the IOrganizationService.Delete method.

IsValidStateTransitionRequest

Checks if the state transition is valid.

RetrieveRequest

Retrieves an msdyn_PostRuleConfig record. You can also call the IOrganizationService.Retrieve method.

RetrieveMultipleRequest

Retrieves a collection of msdyn_PostRuleConfig records. You can also call the IOrganizationService.RetrieveMultiple method.

SetStateRequest

Sets the state of an msdyn_PostRuleConfig record. The possible states are defined in the msdyn_PostRuleConfig.State attribute. If you are using early bound types, use the msdyn_PostRuleConfigState enumeration. For a list of the state values, refer to the msdyn_PostRuleConfig entity metadata. You can find this information in the metadata for your organization. See the preceding metadata browser information.
