Unregister a Custom Domain from a Storage Account in Azure

Updated: February 13, 2014

Use the following procedure to unregister (delete) a custom domain from a Azure storage account. After you unregister a custom domain from a storage account, customers can no longer access blobs in public containers by using the custom subdomain (format: http//<custom.sub.domain>/<mycontainer>/<myblob>). Customers can still access blobs by using the standard URI that Azure assigns to blob containers: http://< mystorageaccount>.blob.core.windows.net/<mycontainer>/<myblob>. For more information, see Register a custom domain for your storage account.

  1. Sign in to the Windows Azure Management Portal.

  2. In the navigation pane, click Storage.

  3. On the Storage page, click the name of the storage account for which you want to unregister a custom domain.

  4. On the storage account page, click Configure.

  5. On the ribbon, click Manage Domain.

  6. In the Manage Custom Domain dialog box, click Unregister.
