Update a party record name or view name changes [AX 2012]

You can update the name of a party record and view the history of any changes to a name.

Open the party record whose name you want to change, and then, on the Action Pane, click Edit.

Depending on your version of the program, do one of the following:

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, enter the new name for the party on the General FastTab.

Otherwise, in the party record form, on the General FastTab, click Change name. In the Change name form, enter the new name for the party.

Open the party record that contains the information to view.

Depending on your version of the program, do one of the following:

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, right-click in the Name field, and then select History.

Otherwise, in the party record form, on the General FastTab, click Change name, and then click History.
