Install the Web Deployment Tool

The Microsoft Web Deployment Tool can be used for large-scale application deployments, such as deployments to a server farm. It is not a prerequisite for installing Microsoft AppFabric 1.1 for Windows Server. Also known as MSDeploy, it is available both as a command-line tool and as an IIS module. You can use it to copy or synchronize an application from one virtual directory or even an entire Web site to another. To use the Web Deployment Tool, you need access to a computer that has SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 Express installed.

To install the Web Deployment Tool, go to Web Deployment Tool (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=166487) and run the setup wizard.
