Your ad language and location target settings help determine what countries your ad can be displayed in. Both the location targeting criteria and the language setting criteria must be met in order for an ad to be eligible for display. For example, ads in German that target Germany will display in Germany. Ads in German will not display for market countries that do not support German such as Italy or Finland. The ad language is the same for all ads in an ad group. You can set the language with the
Language element of the AdGroup Data Object. The following are the possible languages that you may use to write your ads and keywords for each market country. For more information, please see How does ad language and location targeting affect who can see my ads.
The content network is available only in the United States. If you are not a US customer and attempt to set the ad group ad distribution to Search and Content, the service will set your ad distribution to Search only. If you are not a US customer and attempt to set the ad group ad distribution to Content only, the operation will fail.
