Default Dampener Quantity Field, Manufacturing Setup Table
Specifies a percentage of an item’s lot size by which an existing supply must change before a planning suggestion is made. This helps to minimize insignificant change to existing orders.
If the suggested change is higher than the default dampener percentage, then the suggestion is not blocked.
Note
The dampener value that you specify in this global setup field is a percentage of the lot size of a given item that it will apply to. On the item cards, the dampener value is an item quantity.
Additional Information
This setting applies globally, except for items that have a different value in the Dampener Quantity field on the item card.
