About Outlook Synchronization

The Outlook functionality that provides an interface for adjusting synchronization settings, specifying troubleshooting options, and performing synchronization. If modifications occur on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Outlook at the same time, the user has to decide which side has the priority. The user can choose one of the four available options to resolve conflicts that occur during the synchronization:

  • Override the Outlook item or the corresponding Microsoft Dynamics NAV records.

  • Replace older entities with new ones.

  • Only log the conflicts that occur so that they can be solved manually. The last option is a default one.

Outlook Items have their own properties (some of them are Collections). All Collection Elements have their own properties. The Outlook synchronization feature provides an interface for mapping these properties with the corresponding fields in Microsoft Dynamics NAV tables.
