TypeConverter::CanConvertTo Method (ITypeDescriptorContext, Type)
Silverlight
Returns whether the type converter can convert an object to the specified type.
Namespace: System.ComponentModel
Assembly: System (in System.dll)
Parameters
- context
- Type: System.ComponentModel::ITypeDescriptorContext
An object that provides a format context.
- destinationType
- Type: System::Type
The type you want to convert to.
Return Value
Type: System::Booleantrue if this converter can perform the conversion; otherwise, false.
Notes to Inheritors
For use as a type converter for custom-type attribute handling in Silverlight XAML, you do not need to implement this method (it is not called by the Silverlight 4 XAML parser for type conversion purposes, and there is no XamlWriter in Silverlight). However , you might still want to implement a practical behavior for CanConvertTo as a best practice.
The base implementation always returns false.
For a list of the operating systems and browsers that are supported by Silverlight, see Supported Operating Systems and Browsers.
