Setup (Standard 7 Package Reference)

The Setup component contains settings that enable you to select the Windows image that you install, configure the disk that you install Windows to, and configure the Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE) 3.0 operating system.

Some of the settings in this component apply only to Windows PE, and some settings are applied to the installed Windows image. Each setting describes which operating system the setting applies to.

Checks that the requirements for installing Windows are fulfilled so that the operating system can be installed.

CreateSeparateSystemPartition

Specifies whether a separate system partition is created during installation.

Diagnostics

Specifies whether to send installation information to Microsoft.

DiskConfiguration

Specifies the disk configurations to apply to a disk on the destination computer.

Display

Specifies display settings to apply to Windows PE.

DistributionShare

Specifies the path to an alternative distribution share to use.

EnableFirewall

Specifies whether to enable Windows Firewall for Windows PE.

EnableNetwork

Specifies whether a network connection is enabled.

ImageInstall

Specifies the Windows image to install.

LogPath

Specifies the path used for log files during Windows PE.

OemFolderPaths

Specifies the path to the OEM folder where third party files are contained.

PageFile

Specifies the size and the location of the page file used during Windows PE.

Restart

Specifies whether to restart or shut down the computer after Windows PE completes.

RunAsynchronous

Specifies commands to run asynchronously after Windows PE starts.

RunSynchronous

Specifies commands to run synchronously after Windows PE starts.

ShowTemplateSelection

This setting is reserved for future use.

TargetAnalysisMapping

Specifies whether drivers are automatically detected for images without packages.

UseConfigurationSet

Specifies that a configuration set is used.

UserData

Specifies user data, such as the user name and the product key to apply to the Windows installation.

WindowsDeploymentServices

Specifies settings for Windows Deployment Services, a management tool designed to facilitate deployment with a limited number of settings.
