Troubleshoot Send to Mobile

If you are having problems with the Send to Mobile feature, do the following:

  • Make sure that Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 is installed on your computer.

  • If you install Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 after installing MapPoint, please uninstall MapPoint and then reinstall it.

  • Confirm that you have a valid e-mail account.

  • Confirm that your computer is connected to the Internet.

  • Make sure that your carrier’s e-mail address and phone number are correct.

  • If you are trying to send a message to a phone using a European carrier, you may need to enable that phone to receive e-mail messages by sending a special code to the carrier. Also, you may need to add a zero before the phone number when sending the message. For assistance with this process, contact your mobile device carrier.

  • Restart your computer.

  • Restart MapPoint.
