Send a map file by e-mail

Open the map you want to send.
Note If you've made changes to an open map file, save the changes before you send the file.

On the File menu, point to Send to, and then click Mail recipient (as attachment).
This menu command is available only if Microsoft Outlook 2007 or later is installed on your computer.
To set a default profile for Microsoft Outlook

In Windows XP or Windows Vista, click Start, and then click Control Panel.

In Control Panel, double-click Mail, and then click Show Profiles.
If you are using Windows Vista and do not see the Mail option, click Classic View in the upper-left corner of the screen to display the Mail option.

In the Mail dialog box, click Add, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Type the e-mail address for your recipient, and then send the message.

If you're using Windows XP, you can use Outlook Express, which is included with Windows XP. If you're using Windows Vista, you can use Windows Mail, which is included with Vista. If you're using Windows 7, you can download Windows Mail for free.

To open the map, the recipient must have MapPoint installed.
