Choose between flat map view or globe view
MapPoint enables you to display the map as a flat map or globe at zoom levels above 9,200 kilometers (5,700 miles).
To switch between the flat map and global projections
-
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Map tab.
-
Under Map options, select the Show globe view (Miller projection) when zoomed out check box.
-
Click OK.
Note The change between these projections won't be apparent unless you are zoomed out beyond 9,200 kilometers (5,700 miles).
Tip Clearing the check mark next to Show globe view (Miller projection) when zoomed out to get a flat map view can be useful when you need to see widely separated countries on the map at the same time.
