Open Team Explorer

With the Team Foundation Server plug-in for Eclipse, you use Team Explorer to interact with work items, work item queries, files under version control, documents, build definitions, and reports. You can open Team Explorer in your current perspective, or you can switch to the Team Foundation Server Exploring perspective.

To open Team Explorer

  1. On the Window menu, point to Show View, and click Other.

    The Show View dialog box appears.

  2. Expand the Team Foundation Server folder, click Team Explorer, and click OK.

    Team Explorer appears. If you are connected to a team project, it appears in Team Explorer. For information about how to connect to a team project, see Connect to Team Projects.

To open the Team Foundation Server Exploring perspective

  1. On the Window menu, point to Open Perspective, and click Other.

  2. In the Open Perspective dialog box, click Team Foundation Server Exploring, and then click OK.

    The new perspective appears and provides an initial set and layout of views in the Workbench. You can customize perspectives and can add views to the current perspective. For more information, see the Eclipse documentation.
