No watch expression selected

This page is specific to the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Language Reference for Office 2010.

You must have an expression selected when you choose the Instant Watch command. This error has the following cause and solution:

  • You didn't select an expression to watch before choosing Instant Watch. Highlight the watch expression in the Code window before choosing Instant Watch.

For additional information, select the item in question and press F1 (in Windows) or HELP (on the Macintosh).
