Return Value

A string that represents a link to the status message target.

The uxLink, statusLink, and linkTitle properties are used together as follows:

  • If you specify the statusLink property, the uxLink property is automatically populated with a Windows Live link that can be used to leave a comment about the status message.

  • In the webpage that the uxLink property refers to, the statusLink property value is shown, so that a reader can learn more information about the status message.

  • If the linkTitle property is also specified, the linkTitle property value is the friendly text that represents the link. Otherwise, the statusLink property value is displayed directly.

The following example demonstrates how to get or set the uxLink property.

            var uxLink = statusMessage.get_uxLink();
