CETSC UI Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables (Compact 7)

In Windows Embedded Compact, you can use Windows Embedded Compact Terminal Services Client (CETSC) UI to request a connection to a server or computer by using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

Hardware and Software Requirements

  • SYSGEN_RDP. For more information, see Remote Desktop Connection Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
  • A desktop computer that is running Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, or a server that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Server 2008 R2.
  • An Ethernet or wireless network connection between the Windows Embedded Compact client and the desktop computer or the server.
  • A display screen connected to the Windows Embedded Compact powered device.
  • An interactive input device, such as a mouse or a touch screen.
