Latency Registry Setting (Compact 7)

3/12/2014

The following features use the latency registry key:

  • Always-Up-To-Date sync (notification/SMS-activated sync).
  • The feature to sync outgoing items as they are sent.

When one of these features is activated, a sync event is scheduled for a specified amount of time after the activation. This registry key determines the delay interval.

The HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\AirSync\Settings registry key contains the parameters for setting notification and sync of outgoing item time periods.

The following table shows the named values.

Value Type Description

NotifySyncDelay

DWORD

Number of minutes to wait before synchronization.

The default value is 3 minutes.

OutboundMailDelay

DWORD

Number of minutes to wait before synchronization.

Default values are set according to specific hardware platforms.
