IFPCServer::StopMSDEService method

The StopMSDEService method stops the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE) service on the server.

Note  This method is deprecated in Forefront TMG. Use the StopIsaDatabaseLogService method instead.

Syntax


HRESULT StopMSDEService(
  [in, optional]  VARIANT_BOOL fWaitUntilComplete
);

Parameters

fWaitUntilComplete [in, optional]
C++Boolean value that specifies whether the method waits for the operation to complete before returning S_OK or an error. The default value is VARIANT_FALSE.
VBBoolean value that specifies whether the method waits for the operation to complete before returning or raising an error. The default value is False.

Return value

C++

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

VB

This method has no return values. If the call is unsuccessful, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.
