IFPCPolicyRule::Action property

Applies to: desktop apps only

The Action property gets or sets the type of action that this rule performs. The action may be to allow requests or deny requests.

This property is read/write.

Syntax

HRESULT put_Action(
  FpcPolicyRuleActions PolicyRuleActions
);

HRESULT get_Action(
  FpcPolicyRuleActions *pPolicyRuleActions
);
' Data type: FpcPolicyRuleActions

Property Action( _
  ByVal PolicyRuleActions As FpcPolicyRuleActions, _
  ByVal pPolicyRuleActions As FpcPolicyRuleActions _
) As FpcPolicyRuleActions

Property value

Value from the FpcPolicyRuleActions enumerated type. The possible values are fpcPolicyRuleActionAllow, which indicates that the rule allows requests, and fpcPolicyRuleActionDeny, which indicates that the rule denies requests.

Error codes

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Remarks

This property is read/write. The default value for an access rule is fpcPolicyRuleActionDeny, which indicates that the rule denies requests. The default value for a server publishing rule or a Web publishing rule is fpcPolicyRuleActionAllow, which indicates that the rule allows requests.

Because array policy can only be more restrictive than enterprise policy, you can only add array policy rules that deny access to what is already allowed by the enterprise. If you try to create an allow (fpcPolicyRuleActionAllow) policy rule, you receive an error message, and the rule is not created.
