IFPCAdapter2::GetPrimarySubnetMask method

The GetPrimarySubnetMask method gets the primary subnet mask of the network adapter.

Syntax

HRESULT GetPrimarySubnetMask(
  [out]  BSTR *pVal

FPCAdapter.GetPrimarySubnetMask( _
  ByRef pVal As BSTR _
) As String

Parameters

• pVal [out]
  Pointer to a BSTR that is set on return to a string value specifying the primary subnet mask of the network adapter.

Return value

C++

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

VB

This method has no return values. If the call is unsuccessful, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.

Remarks

The primary subnet mask of the network adapter can be set by calling the SetPrimarySubnetMask method.
