The JavaScript Library for Windows Live Messenger Connect is built by using the Microsoft Ajax Library. Instant messaging addresses are composed of the actual address value (string) and include a set of properties. Those properties include data about whether the address is online, the message type associated with the address (MessageType), details about the current status for the address (IMAddressPresence), and the capabilities of the address (capabilities).
