Current information about Live Connect is now available in the Windows Live Developer Center. The information in the following sections is provided for legacy purposes only.

Gets or sets the link to the application that created an object of class Activity.

Script:  http://js.live.net/4.1/loader.js
Feature:  Microsoft.Live.Services
Namespace:  Microsoft.Live.Services

// To retrieve:
var applicationLink = instance.get_applicationLink();

// To update:
instance.set_applicationLink(value);

Return Value

A string that represents the link to the application that created the Activity object.

The applicationLink property is required when an activity is created. The constructors of activity template classes such as AddStatusActivity take the value of applicationLink as an argument. You should specify applicationLink to have the same value as the fully qualified domain that was specified when the application was first registered with Windows Live.

The following example demonstrates how to get and set the applicationLink for an activity.

    var applicationLink = activity.get_applicationLink();
    var newApplicationLink = 'http://www.contoso.com/newapplink';
    activity.set_applicationLink(newApplicationLink);
