Ff747732.note(en-us,MSDN.10).gifNote:
Current information about Live Connect is now available in the Windows Live Developer Center. The information in the following sections is provided for legacy purposes only.

The Contact Picker control helps users manage their contact list. It is designed to be used on a form. It is represented in markup by the contact-picker tag. Users can select a single contact, or multiple contacts.

The following example shows how to insert a Contact Picker control into a webpage.

The Contact Picker can be used in an HTML form. When the user selects a contact in the picker, a hidden input field is created. The input field has the name "cid[]" and the field value is the selected contact's CID. When the form is posted, all selected contacts are sent with the form.

The Contact Picker can be used outside of a form. However, the application that hosts the form must examine the input elements to determine which contacts have been selected.

The following screen shot shows the Contact Picker control.
