Publish Notification Hook Plugins
Publish notification hook plugins enable you to execute code before and after Windows Live Writer posts content to a blog. These plugins can examine the contents of the post and have the option to cancel the publishing operation.
Following are several examples of plugins that you could write by using publish notification hooks:
Send alerts about new blog posts to microblogging sites.
Ask for confirmation if the Tags/Keywords field is empty.
Display a warning if the post contains XHTML that can't be validated.
To create a publish notification hook, follow the steps in Creating a Plugin, and use the PublishNotificationHook Class as the base class for your plugin. Then override the PublishNotificationHook.OnPrePublish Method or PublishNotificationHook.OnPostPublish Method to customize the behavior of your plugin.
