How to Install Additional Monitoring Providers

Additional third-party monitoring providers can be installed by running the setup program created by the third-party monitoring provider vendor. The new monitoring providers will be included in the Monitoring provider list box only after the new monitoring provider has been installed on the system. Refer to your third-party documentation for more details on how to install the provider.

After the provider has been correctly installed, it will be available from the Monitoring provider drop-down list. Selecting the provider and clicking on the Configure… button will launch the third-party configuration UI for your selected monitoring provider.

Note

Monitoring, persistence, and distributed cache providers use different provider technologies and require you to install independent providers for each technology. Installing a provider for monitoring does not mean that the provider will be available for persistence.
