3.1.7.1 CBCP Packet Receive Event

The CBCP Packet Receive Event is an event that the PPP indicates to the CBCP. Since PPP provides the method for transporting multi-protocol datagram over point-to-point links, the PPP will be responsible for receiving and delivering the CBCP messages. If the message received by the PPP layer has the PPP protocol identifier to be 0xC029, the PPP will notify the CBCP messages through this event. When a CBCP message is received, the processing rules to be applied are specified in section 3.1.5.
