Type: Automated Test
Overview
The XPS Rendering Verification test validates the correctness of an XPS rendering engine. The XPS Rendering Verification Test provides for fuzzy image comparison with adjustable tolerance levels, so that pixel-by-pixel matching is not a strict requirement.
Details
The XPS Rendering Verification test validates the correctness of an XPS rendering engine. A typical mode of execution is as follows:
The user can create multipage TIFF raster images (from XPS files in the Content Library job, for example) by using a rendering engine with the XPS Rendering Verification test. The user then verifies only once that the raster images are "correct." The user can then use the raster images and the XPS Rendering Verification Test on a continuous build-to-build manner as a thorough regression test for their rendering engine. This test, then, can be run after each change in rendering code and verify that the look of the document stays the same.
The XPS Rendering Verification test provides for fuzzy image comparison with adjustable tolerance levels, so that pixel-by-pixel matching is not a strict requirement.
