Type: Automated Test

Overview

WDDM Eviction tests if eviction has been done correctly by the video memory manager.

Details

There might not be enough free video memory available to bring all the resources required by a DMA buffer in, in which case some resources currently in memory need to be evicted. The test creates a reference image without eviction taking place. It then creates multiple images with large resources which ensures that eviction will take place. Each of these images is compared with the reference image. If eviction has been carried out correctly, the two images should be identical.
