Type: Automated Test

Overview

The WDDM BVT2 test validates the user-mode display drivers implement basic functionality required by the user-mode DDI.

Details

The WDDM BVT2 test is a minimal test application designed to verify basic functionality of a Windows Vista Driver Model video driver. The primary goals of this test are to ensure system stability under the Windows Vista driver model and to verify the functionality of Windows Vista display drivers. The test is composed of a set of test groups. Each test group exercises one subset of the Windows Vista user-mode DDI. The WDDM BVT test does not use the Direct3D runtime. Instead, it calls directly into the user-mode driver and the kernel-mode entry points in the operating system. Drivers must not crash or leak memory while running this test.
