PC99TA 6.8.5 Qual Scaling Cons.

Overview

The PC99TA 6.8.5 Qual Scaling Cons. test verifies that Microsoft DirectDraw overlays can be stretched and shrunk by a factor of 8:1.

Details

This test contains two separate cases.

  • A 34 x 25 overlay is displayed at a range of sizes up to a stretch factor of 8:1.

  • A 720 x 576 overlay is displayed at increasingly smaller sizes down to 1:8.

The test cannot validate the displayed image, but it does verify that the function calls fail gracefully.

Requirements

Software Requirements

The test tool requires the following software:

  • Software components included with the device that is being tested.

Hardware Requirements

  • Device to be tested
  • Computer that meets the minimum software requirements
  • Windows keyboard
  • Two-button pointing device
  • Color display monitor capable of at least 1024 by 768 resolution, 32-bits per pixel, 60 Hz
  • Hard drive with a minimum of 20 GB available on partition C:
