2.1.1876 Part 4 Section 7.1.3.7, ST_Jc (Justification)

a. The standard says centerGroup alignment takes place relative to the page even though the equation might be inside an object like a table cell.

In Word, centerGroup alignment takes place relative to the equation margins just like center alignment.

b. The standard says centerGroup means that equations are justified with respect to each other and then the group is centered, but it does not specify how to justify the equations respect to each other.

In Word, centerGroup means that equations are left justified with respect to each other, and then group is centered.
