2.1.472 Part 4 Section, mwSmallCaps (Emulate Word 5.x for the Macintosh Small Caps Formatting)

a.   The standard does not state exactly how to emulate Word 5.x for the Macintosh small caps.

This element, when present with a val attribute value of true (or equivalent), specifies that Word will determine the font size for small caps using the following algorithm:

If Ff532523.image023(en-us,office.12).png, then the font size for small caps is 7 points.

Otherwise, sequentially iterate through Ff532523.image024(en-us,office.12).png until Ff532523.image025(en-us,office.12).png, at which point the font size for small caps is Ff532523.image026(en-us,office.12).png points.

Ff532523.image027(en-us,office.12).png is an array defined as follows:

Ff532523.image028(en-us,office.12).png where Ff532523.image029(en-us,office.12).png.

Ff532523.image030(en-us,office.12).png is an integer calculated as follows:

The font size of the run to which small caps formatting is applied (in points).

This note applies to the following products: 2007, 2007 SP1, 2007 SP2.
