On load, Excel 2007 uses button location information to help determine how to render the DataPilot, including page field locations, row and column headings, and data area.

On save, Excel 2007 writes button locations, based on how the DataPilot is positioned in Excel 2007, so that other implementers can provide interactive buttons, if desired.
