2.1.691 Section 15.5.15, Drop Caps

a.   The standard defines the element <style:drop-cap>, contained within the parent element <style:paragraph-properties>

This element is supported in core Word 2007.

On save if a second frame is anchored to the paragraph inside a drop cap, then Word 2007 will remove the <style:drop-cap> element but retain the contents contained within the element tags.

On save and on load, if a paragraph is right-to-left and has a drop cap applied, then Word 2007 will remove the <style:drop-cap> element but retain the contents contained within the element tags.

On save and on load, if a paragraph has the "fo:break-before" property with the value "column" and has a drop cap applied, then Word 2007 will remove the <style:drop-cap> element but retain the contents contained within the element tags.

b.   The standard defines the attribute style:distance, contained within the element <style:drop-cap>, contained within the parent element <style:paragraph-properties>

This attribute is supported in core Word 2007.

c.   The standard defines the attribute style:length, contained within the element <style:drop-cap>, contained within the parent element <style:paragraph-properties>

This attribute is supported in core Word 2007.

d.   The standard defines the attribute style:lines, contained within the element <style:drop-cap>, contained within the parent element <style:paragraph-properties>

This attribute is supported in core Word 2007.

This attribute is not supported in core Word 2007.
