The Group Policy: Registry Extension Encoding uses remote file access. All messages are exchanged as files transferred using remote file access.

The Group Policy: Core Protocol uses this protocol CSE GUID (as specified in [MS-DTYP] section 2.3.4.3) and tool extension GUID values to invoke this protocol only to access GPOs that require processing by this protocol.
