2.1.2 TLS over TCP

When TCP is used as a transport, the TURN server is deployed to listen on port 443, the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)/TLS port. If a protocol client is attempting to communicate with a TURN server deployed in this fashion, it MAY choose to use the standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) instead of the pseudo-TLS protocol described in section 2.1.1. In this case, cryptographic parameters negotiation is carried out in accordance with [RFC2246], [RFC4346] or [RFC5246], after which the communication proceeds as described in section 2.1.4.
