The .NET API Reference documentation has a new home. Visit the .NET API Browser on to see the new experience.

Initiates an operation to resume a bookmark using the specified value, time-out interval, callback method, and state.

Namespace:   System.Activities
Assembly:  System.Activities (in System.Activities.dll)

public IAsyncResult BeginResumeBookmark(
	Bookmark bookmark,
	object value,
	TimeSpan timeout,
	AsyncCallback callback,
	object state

Type: System.Activities.Bookmark

The bookmark to resume.

Type: System.Object

An object passed as a parameter to the method that is invoked when the bookmark resumes.

Type: System.TimeSpan

The interval in which the resume operation must complete before the operation is canceled and a TimeoutException is thrown.

Type: System.AsyncCallback

The method to be called when the resume operation has completed.

Type: System.Object

An optional application-specific object that contains information about the asynchronous operation.

Return Value

Type: System.IAsyncResult

A reference to the asynchronous bookmark resume operation.

To determine if the resume operation was successful, call EndResumeBookmark. EndResumeBookmark can be called from inside or outside of the callback method. If EndResumeBookmark is called before the resume operation completes, it blocks until the resume operation completes. If the resume operation does not complete within the specified time-out interval a TimeoutException is thrown from EndResumeBookmark.

This method resumes a bookmark asynchronously using the IAsyncResult asynchronous design pattern. For more information, seeAsynchronous Programming Overview.
