3.2.5.21 Processing RopUnlockRegionStream

When the server receives a RopUnlockRegionStreamROP request buffer ([MS-OXCROPS] section 2.2.9.10) from the client, the server parses the buffer. The server responds with a RopUnlockRegionStreamROP response buffer. For details about how the server parses buffers and processes ROPs, see [MS-OXCROPS] section 3.2.5.1. For details about how the server formats buffers for the response, see [MS-OXCROPS] section 3.2.5.2.

Servers MAY<16> implement this ROP as follows:

If the server implements this ROP, the server MUST remove any existing locks on the requested region that are owned by the session calling the ROP. If there are previous locks that are not owned by the session calling the ROP, the server MUST leave them unmodified.
