IXRPolyBezierSegment (Compact 2013)

3/28/2014

This class represents one or more cubic Bézier curves.

Syntax

class IXRPolyBezierSegment : public IXRPathSegment

Inheritance Hierarchy

IXRDependencyObject

  IXRPathSegment

    IXRPolyBezierSegment

Methods

In addition to the methods inherited from IXRPathSegment, this class contains the following methods.

Name

Description

IXRPolyBezierSegment::GetPoints

Retrieves the IXRPointCollection that defines an IXRPolyBezierSegment object.

IXRPolyBezierSegment::SetPoints

Sets the IXRPointCollection that defines an IXRPolyBezierSegment object.

Thread Safety

Members of this class are thread-safe if you previously called IXRApplication::CreateHostFromXaml and supplied it with an XRWindowCreateParams structure that has AllowsMultipleThreadAccess set to true.

Remarks

Use an IXRPathFigure object to store IXRPolyBezierSegment objects and other segments derived from IXRPathSegment.

A cubic Bézier curve is defined by four points: a starting point, an endpoint (point 3), and two control points (points 1 and 2). The starting point is the same as the endpoint of the previous segment. The two control points of a cubic Bézier curve attract parts of a line between the starting point and the endpoint and produce a curve. The curve does not necessarily pass through either of the control points.

IXRPolyBezierSegment specifies one or more cubic Bézier curves by setting the Points property to a collection of points. For a single Bézier curve, you can use IXRBezierSegment.

When you create a class instance, use an IXRPolyBezierSegmentPtr smart pointer instead of a raw interface pointer. For more information, see XRPtr<Interface>.

You can also define an IXRPolyBezierSegment object in Microsoft Silverlight 3 XAML. For information about the differences between XAML in XAML for Windows Embedded and Silverlight 3, see Differences Between Microsoft Silverlight 3 and XAML for Windows Embedded. For more information about how to define this element in the source XAML for your application, see the PolyBezierSegment Class on MSDN.
