RIL_Hangup (Compact 2013)

3/26/2014

Deprecated.

This function is responsible for ending all calls.

Note

This function is deprecated. The RIL clients developed by Microsoft, for example CellCore, do not use this function. RIL clients developed by Microsoft's partners should not use this function. The function exists in Windows Embedded Compact 2013 but will be removed in the following Windows Embedded Compact release. Use RIL_ManageCalls. For different types of calls, you can use the Call Management Constants.

Syntax

HRESULT RIL_Hangup(
  HRIL hRil
);

Parameters

Return Value

Positive HRESULT values indicate success and are used as command identifications for matching the asynchronous call result. Negative HRESULT values indicate an error. Errors are defined in the Ril.h file.

An asychronous result of RIL_RESULT_OK indicates success. The lpData notification parameter is set to NULL.

Remarks

The RIL proxy translates the RIL_Hangup function into IOCTL_RIL_Hangup when the RIL proxy calls RIL_IOControl.

In order to properly end a voice call when both voice and data calls are in progress, you must modify the behavior of RIL_Hangup function in your driver as follows:

  • If a data call is active, terminate it.
  • If a voice call is active, terminate it.
  • If both a voice and data call are active, terminate only the voice call.
