Setting Up the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB Hardware (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

Use the following steps to connect the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB to a development workstation.

To set up the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB hardware

  1. Attach the power supply to the Renesas US7750R HARP (Aspen) SDB.

  2. If you use the MQ200 display card or the Tahoe board, be sure switch S1 on the card is set to the off position; otherwise, the display will not function.

    Note

    S1 is part of the set of four DIP switches on the upper side of the card immediately behind the PCMCIA sockets.

  3. Connect a null modem cable between a free serial port on the development workstation and the Aspen SDB debug serial port.

    The debug serial port is on the front panel near the Ethernet jack and is labeled "Dbg Ser".
