ConfigurationElementCollection.BaseGet Method (Object)

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Returns the configuration element with the specified key.

Parameters

key

The key of the element to return.

Return Value

The ConfigurationElement with the specified key; otherwise, a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The BaseGet method returns a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if there is no ConfigurationElement object with the specified key in the collection.

The following code example shows how to call the BaseGet method.

{
    get
    {
        return (UrlConfigElement)BaseGet(Name);
