Customer Experience Improvement Program (Industry 8.1)

7/8/2014

Learn how to manage your participation in the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) for Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry (Industry 8.1).

The Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) is a voluntary program that collects information about how customers use Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry (Industry 8.1) and some of the problems they encounter. Microsoft uses this information to improve the products and features customers use most and to help resolve issues. Participation in the CEIP is voluntary, and the results are software improvements that better meet the needs of our customers.

CEIP collects information about the device computer on which Industry 8.1 is installed and how you use Industry 8.1. This information does not include any contact information; instead, a GUID is generated and stored on your computer to uniquely identify it. CEIP uses this GUID to help determine how widespread any particular feedback or issue is. Your unique GUID is sent with every CEIP report. Some reports might unintentionally contain individual identifiers, such as a serial number for a device that is connected to your development computer. Microsoft filters the information that is contained in CEIP reports to remove any individual identifiers that the CEIP reports might contain.

You can obtain more information about the CEIP at Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement Program.

You can obtain more information about the privacy policy for Industry 8.1 at Privacy Statement.
