To create, build, and test a Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Persistent Chat API application, you must have Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Persistent Chat SDK libraries installed on your development computers.
To verify that the SDK is installed or not, check your local share for the Microsoft.Rtc.Collaboration.dll, SIPEPS.dll and Microsoft.Rtc.Collaboration.PersistentChat.dll files. By default, they are installed in the "%progfile%\Microsoft Lync Server 2013\Persistent Chat SDK" folder.
To install the SDK, go to the MSDN Download site and search for Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Persistent Chat API and follow the instructions there.
To uninstall the SDK, go to Control Panel, select Programs and Features, and then click Uninstall a program. In the ensuing dialog box, right-click Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Persistent Chat SDK and then select Uninstall.
