1 Introduction

The Remote Shared Virtual Disk (RSVD) Protocol is a block-based protocol that is used to access virtual disks in a shared fashion across a network over Server Message Block (SMB) Protocol version 3 (SMB3).

Sections 1.5, 1.8, 1.9, 2, and 3 of this specification are normative. All other sections and examples in this specification are informative.
