Set System Language and Input Method (Industry 8)

Learn how to set your device's system language and input method on Windows Embedded 8 Industry (Industry 8) by using Industry Setup.

Tap or click the Set System Language and Input Method tile to access the Set Language and Locale options bar.

Language and Input Options

These options allow you to set the default system language, the default time and currency locale and, in some cases, the default keyboard or input method for your device.

  • Set System Language
    In the Set System Language list, click the language you want to use as your device’s default system language.
  • Set Time and Currency Format
    In the Set Time and Currency Format list, click the locale you want to use as your device’s default locale.
  • Set Keyboard or Input Method
    In the Set Keyboard or Input Method list, click the keyboard or input method you want to use as your device’s default input method.
